“In a large cohort of patients, surgical intervention via hepatic resection for advanced, symptomatic PCLD demonstrated significant symptom relief, while preserving hepatic function and an acceptable morbidity rate. Hepatic resection, particularly via minimally invasive approach, should be considered in appropriate surgical candidates, especially given the sustained improvement in symptoms at long-term follow-up even in the setting of radiographic evidence of progressive cystic disease.”
